# Why is my execution price different from what the chart displays?

xPOSITIONs and sPOSITIONs are on-chain leverage tools. It means that 100% of the execution occurs on-chain without involving any centralized market maker or order book.\
On-chain execution can result in a discrepancy between the oracle-estimated execution price and the actual execution price.\
Please note that the charts currently displayed on the dapp are CEX charts displayed for informational purposes, rather than oracle-based charts. \
\
When opening or closing a position at the market price, the execution may face price impacts and fees at different levels, excluding the protocol fees:

* Swapping the collateral with USDC - For instance, WBTC's main liquidity pool with USDC charges a 0.3% swap fee on Uniswap.
* Swapping USDC with fxUSD - The fees here are minimal; however, depending on the current liquidity and the trade size, a small price impact may occur.

The size of your position increases the effect.

To mitigate this:

* Mind the slippage setting before interacting with the protocol
* Upcoming limit orders should deliver a perfect execution
* We are progressively integrating dex aggregators API to deliver better execution prices
